International Education Week is Nov. 14-18
A number of activities will take place at the Beatrice, Lincoln and Milford campuses of Southeast Community College for International Education Week, Nov. 14-18. The week celebrates the benefits of cultural and academic exchange programs around the world.
“International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the diversity of SCC, to learn about those around us and to bridge the gaps between groups,” said Nicole Trevena Flores, Global Education Coordinator.
Following is a list of activities over the course of the week:
Beatrice Campus:
Mon. Nov. 14 – Pick up your passport from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kennedy Student Center
Tues. Nov. 15 – World Cup Pool Tournament, Library Display, all day
Wed. Nov. 16 – Selfie Station Pool Tournament, Kennedy, all day
Thurs. Nov. 17 – Pool Championship, Last day for passports, Kennedy
Fri. Nov. 18 – Prize Drawing, 9 a.m. to Noon, Kennedy
Lincoln Campus: All events held in Room S-1
Mon. Nov. 14 – Indigenous Activism in our Community, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Tues. Nov. 15 – How to Lead a Student Study Abroad Trip, 11 a.m.
How to be a Student Study Participant, Noon.
Wed. Nov. 16 – The Politics of the Conflict in Ukraine, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Thurs. Nov. 17 – Mental Health Considerations in Asian Populations, 11 a.m. to Noon.
Fri, Nov. 18 – Food Truck Friday, 11 a.m. -12:30 p.m.
Fun with Languages, Noon-12:45 p.m., Room N1.
Milford Campus:
Wed. Nov. 16 – International Games Event, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Dunlap Lobby
Wed. Nov. 16 – Dodgeball World Cup, 7 p.m., Welsh Center
