Financial Assistance
There's Money Out There!
Numerous resources are available to propel you towards your educational aspirations and provide financial support to keep you on your path to success.
We offer financial assistance for students taking Continuing Education (Business and Community) courses. Eligibility differs from program to program. The types of assistance are:
- Gap Assistance Program
- Lincoln Public School Foundation
Gap Assistance Program
This program provides need-based financial support for tuition and other eligible costs for approved, short-termed non-credit training opportunities focused on employment and select credit courses.
To qualify you must meet the income criteria and be eligible to work in the United States. Eligible students must have a family income at or below 250 percent of federal poverty guidelines. Criteria Include: Financial need, Nebraska resident and High school diploma or GED®.

LPS Student Drivers Education Fund
The Lincoln Public School Foundation is providing limited financial assistance to
qualifying LPS students for the SCC Driver Education Course. For qualifying students
this fund provides financial support for tuition ($379.00) and textbook ($46.76).
Complete the application if you are in need of financial assistance for the Southeast
Community College’s Driver Education course.
Eligibility Requirements
Student must be:
- Receiving Free/Reduced Lunch
- At least 15 years old and attending a Lincoln Public School
What is Covered?
Qualifying students may receive full tuition and textbook.
Steps to apply:
- Complete the application form.
- Submit a copy of your Free/Reduced Lunch letter.
- Submit a thank you letter describing how the program will be beneficial to your future.
- Complete Southeast Community College Non-Credit Registration Form. View the available schedule to get the section information to include on the registration form.
Submit this information as a complete packet online at mmarsh@southeast.edu or to the address listed below. Approved applicants will be notified by email within five business days after receipt of the packet in our office.
