The changes happening at each Southeast Community College location make life easier for the Admissions team. The best way for prospective students to see everything SCC has to offer is to schedule a campus visit.

Southeast Community College President Dr. Paul Illich commemorated 10 years at the College with a campus-wide celebration on Tuesday, Aug. 6 at the Lincoln Campus.

The Lowe’s Foundation awarded $470,000 to Southeast Community College as part of the 2024 cohort receiving Gable Grants. Overall, nearly $8 million was awarded to 11 community colleges. The grant will enable SCC to enhance its Prison Education Program.

Starting in July 2024, Doane University will lease classroom and office spaces to begin offering Doane’s Lincoln campus undergraduate programs at Southeast Community College’s campus.

Stu Osterthun, administrative director for marketing and communications, is retiring from Southeast Community College after 16 years of service effective May 17, 2024. His last day in the office was March 29.

Southeast Community College released the names of 2,614 students who earned a spot on the Dean’s List for the 2024 Spring Semester which ended on May 17.
