Automotive - General Motors Automotive Service Educational Program
Program Description
Our General Motors Automotive Service Educational program is part of a strategic alliance between students, General Motors, ACDelco, and their dealerships in a true earn-as-you-learn experience. This two-year program combines classroom lectures and hands-on labs with a required sponsorship at a GM dealership which gives you on-the-job training during even-numbered semesters.
The ASEP program teaches exclusively on GM products, giving you an advantage when you work at the dealership. You will graduate from our program with an Associate Degree in Applied Science. Learn more about the GM ASEP strategic alliance at Bring Us Your Talent.
Careers
Our program prepares you for an entry-level Automotive Technician in a GM dealership.
GM ASEP students enjoy working with their hands and can stay on task to complete a job. They have mechanical ability and computer and communication skills. The ability to follow directions, work on a team, and visualize objects three dimensionally is also important. Additionally, they are good team members and are detail oriented.
