Driver Education & Safety

Driver Education & Safety

SCC offers Driver Education classes at physical locations in Lincoln. Lecture also is available online.

Driver Education consists of two components:

Lecture and Drive Lab

20 hours of lecture either in the classroom or online
6 hours of behind-the-wheel training outside of lecture time

SCC Driver Education classes are certified by the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for the Provisional Operator's Permit (POP's) and will waive the written and drive exam for 16 - 17-year-olds. Our program serves students under the age of 18.

We highly recommend student have behind-the-wheel practice with a parent, sponsor or guardian PRIOR to starting the class.
